I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
